Twelve questions, answered short
It costs $16.99 at launch, ships with Simplified Chinese text, runs eight to fifteen hours, plays solo or with one other player, and only the demo save from 16 October 2026 or later carries over.
Twelve questions, short answers, each one sourced from the store page, an official announcement or the developer's pinned forum FAQ. Every answer is checkable in under a minute.

How much does it cost?
$19.99 list, $16.99 at the 15% launch discount. The discount has no published end date, so treat it as a launch-window price.
Does it have Chinese?
Simplified Chinese text, yes. The supported set is English, French, Italian, German, Japanese, Simplified Chinese and Latin American Spanish. Full audio support is listed for English only, so the Chinese build is subtitled rather than dubbed.
How many chapters?
The campaign is built as a chain of named escape rooms and stages rather than numbered chapters, and the clearest public map of that chain is the achievement list. Names that appear there include A Clued Awakening, That Rings a Bell, Eyes on the Prize and Play Close Detention, and their unlock rates fall in sequence, which is how you can tell which comes first. Community walkthroughs commonly split the game into a first act (orientation) and a second (the campus opens up), which is a useful convention rather than an official one.
How long is it?
Eight to fifteen hours. That figure is Coin Crew Games' own, given on the Steam forum on 6 November 2026, with the spread explained in the same reply: skipping story and rushing rooms puts you near eight, doing side quests and hunting collectibles puts you near fifteen. For scale, the studio puts the 2022 original at four to five hours.
Is there a demo?
Yes - free, standalone, appid 4198180. The demo was first published on 9 December 2025 and patched on 17 October 2026 with performance work, localisation fixes and a change that removed save wiping. It is a real slice rather than a trailer with a menu, which makes it the cheapest way to answer the "will this run on my machine" question.
Can my demo save carry over?
Only if you played the demo published 16 October 2026 or later. Earlier demo saves are not compatible, and the developer recommends starting a new save and deleting the old one. For anyone who does not want to replay the first hour, a replacement save is published on the forum with instructions: disable Steam Cloud, delete the local SaveData folder under %USERNAME%\AppData\LocalLow\CoinCrewGames\ProjectFLEA, paste the downloaded folder in, launch once to confirm, then re-enable Cloud.
| Demo you played | Save works in release? | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Before 16 October 2026 | No | New save; delete the old one |
| 16 October 2026 or later | Yes | Continue |
| Never played it | - | Nothing carried over either way |
Can I play solo?
Yes. The whole campaign is solvable alone and there is no content gated behind a second player. What you lose solo is the second perspective: rooms are built with two pairs of eyes in mind, so the amount you have to hold in your head at once is higher.
How many players in split screen?
Two. That is the total co-op cap, online or local. Split screen is not a way to add players, it is a way to play the same two-player game on one machine. There is no friend pass either, so both players need a copy - and that rule extends to the expansions.
Does it support controllers?
Full controller support, with specific profiles listed for DualShock and DualSense pads. The game's own on-screen prompts use controller glyphs, so the pad is clearly the intended input. For local co-op there is one thing to do first: enable Steam Input in the game's properties, then assign which device drives which player in the pause menu. Skipping that step is the documented cause of the second player's pad registering in menus but not in levels.
Is there a difficulty setting?
Yes, and it is two separate options rather than one.
| Setting | What it changes |
|---|---|
| No-Timer Mode | Removes room countdowns |
| Adjustable Difficulty | How much help rooms give |
| Playable without Timed Input | The store's promise that no prompt needs twitch reaction |
The store lists those as three distinct tags, which is the clearest evidence they are three distinct systems. If a room feels unfair, No-Timer Mode is usually the right first move rather than a difficulty change - most reported stalls are clueing problems, not difficulty ones.
Is there DLC?
Yes. A $14.99 Season Pass covers two expansions, each with a new narrative, new escape rooms and extra credit side quests, plus the Mask-uerade cosmetic pack. Neither expansion has a date, a room count or a name. Separately there is a $5.99 Supporter Pack containing the soundtrack and digital artbook, and a $3.99 soundtrack on its own.
Which version should I buy?
The base game at $16.99, in almost every case. Only buy the Deluxe Edition if you want the soundtrack and artbook as well, because it bundles those with the Season Pass and lands cheaper than buying the pieces apart. The Season Pass itself is worth waiting on: it buys content that does not exist yet, and the base campaign is complete and self-contained without it.
Is it on Game Pass?
Yes, on Xbox Game Pass. The launch announcement names it alongside the Steam, Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5 releases, and the store tags include family sharing.
Next: the achievement table if you want the numbers, or known issues if something is not working the way these answers describe.
